The Hostry, Norwich Cathedral
Entry is free
David Holgate, Norwich letter-cutter, sculptor, musician and teacher, was a member of the Norwich Twenty Group, Noorfolk Contemporary Craft Society and Norfolk Contemporary Art Society and he sat on our NCAS committee for many years. Probably best known for his two statues of Mother Julian and St Benedict on the West front of the Cathedral, his beautifully cut memorials and inscriptions are spread across East Anglian churches, cemeteries and buildings. In the Cathedral itself there are 26 memorials and inscriptions. This exhibition has been assembled with help from all three societies, together with family and friends, and is a fitting memorial to his artistic and musical legacy.
