First Light Festival: a nationally significant initiative for 2109rooted in the East. Illustrated talks by Genevieve Christie and Wayne Hemingway

First Light is a totally unique, new, national and predominantly free festival that will be launched during the mid-summer weekend in June 2019. With place-making, community, arts and culture at its heart. First Light is a 24 hour long beach and beach-front festival, that celebrates Lowestoft’s position as the most easterly place in the British Isles. First Light co-founders Genevieve Christie (Flipside) and Wayne Hemingway (HemingwayDesign) gave an inspiring double act/talk about their extensive experience in building festivals from scratch, how First Light came to be and how they are looking to build a team of collaborators across all aspects of the event.
