Laura Wilson is interested in how history is carried and evolved through everyday materials, trades and craftsmanship. Wilson works with specialists to develop sculptural and performative works that amplify the relationship between materiality, memory and tacit knowledge. Her interdisciplinary and research-based works have been exhibited widely, including most recently at V&A, London (2019) as part of Bigger than the Plate. Over the past two years, Wilson has been developing new work exploring the hidden landscape of Must Farm, near Peterborough, an exceptionally well-preserved Bronze Age site located on the edge of a working quarry.
