An award winning sculptor known for her elegant and understated works, Christopher is a non-figurative sculptor who works primarily in cast bronze, stainless steel, silver and fabricated Corten steel.
Her work reveals connections with a vast spectrum of sources from across the globe, such as rock formations in Israel, fossils from the Cretaceous chalks of Hertfordshire, prehistoric standing stones in Avebury and early Aegean figurines. Christopher was elected a member of the Royal Academy in 1980, becoming a Royal Academician in 1989 and elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1992. She was awarded Silver Medal for Sculpture of Outstanding Merit by the Royal Society of British Sculptors (1994) and the Otto Beit Medal of Sculpture of Outstanding Merit (1997).
Her work has been exhibited widely across the UK and internationally and her work is held in many leading public and private collections.
