ncas members gallery tour of The Body Observed: Magnum Photos

A select bunch of ncas members were privileged to have a wondrous gallery tour of The Body Observed: Magnum Photos at the SCVA, conducted by Monserrat Pis Marcos, the co-curator of the exhibition.

From the homoerotic and sensual black and white work of Herbert List, via Joan Crawford's elaborate construction of her public identity, excruciatingly documented by Eve Arnold, and the mystical rituals of Galicia captured as magical realist images by Cristina García Rodero, to the Bacon-like distorted figures of Antoine d'Agata who seems to destructively dissolve in his own photographs, this is a remarkable exhibition that reflects on who we are and how we can know others.
